Sponsorship
  • When you become a World Family Foundation sponsor, you will be assigned a specific child and will receive a photo and some background information on your child. You will also receive World Family Foundation newsletter.

  • Our sponsors are encouraged to keep an active communication with their child through letter-writing. Writing to a child and receiving personal letters in return is the heart of sponsorship and creates a loving bond and a sense of guardianship. It brings you into their world and allows you to understand the tremendous value and importance of your involvement.

  • World Family Foundation is committed to meeting the needs of each child which in many situations may include housing, food, clothing, medical, and educational costs. In order to meet these needs, and to offer a flexible schedule for participation, several levels of sponsorship have been established. Due to the high cost of living throughout the world, more than one individual may be assigned to sponsor the same child. The child then happily communicates directly with each of his/her sponsors.

Levels of Sponsorship
Monthly sponsorship of a child includes housing, food, clothing, and emergency medical expenses. Three levels of sponsorship are possible.

  • Diamond - $30/month
  • Gold - $24/ month
  • School Fees - $150/ annually

Additional Donation Opportunities:

  1. General Fund
Donations to the general fund ensure adequate and well-maintained housing, the provision of medical care as needed, and to address any emergency needs arising in any of World Family Foundation projects.

  2. Prashanti School Tutor/Staff Fund
The caregivers are the most critical element of any orphanage or school. Our success at Prashanti School is due to the exceptional attention given to the children by the on-site staff and academic and arts tutors. We are fortunate to have a very talented group of staff members who have generously been working at below standard wages. Contributing to this special fund is crucial to maintaining the high standards that benefit the children of the Prashanti School.

  3. Passbook/College Fund
At Prashanti School in Puri, India, World Family Foundation has established a passbook fund. This consists of regular deposits into an individual bank account in each child's name. This account becomes available to the child upon graduation at the age of 16. At that time, they are ready to develop vocational skills or may have gained admission to college. The Passbook Fund helps give them a start in their new life.

The college fund was established in 2008 to provide the means for talented students graduating from Prashanti School to pursue a higher education. The loving care given to the children, many of whom otherwise may have not received any education at all, has resulted in academically proficient students who are excellent candidates for college and university. The potential for their future has been enormously expanded.

Some of Our Sponsors
Several sponsors have had an opportunity to visit their child over the years. World Family Foundation recognizes this as a wonderful experience for both sponsor and child. Any sponsor/donor planning such a visit must contact the foundation for prior approval.

Kayci Cavenah and Gajendra "It is hard to imagine that a shy little boy on the other side of the planet could steal my heart so completely. Before I met him, I thought I was the one giving. But after spending a few days with him, I realized that I was receiving far more than my sponsorship dollars could ever buy. My little Gajendra and all the children at Prashanti are angels from heaven."

Ron Hinther and Santosh
"I have always enjoyed my trips to the exotic cities of India, but after my first visit to Prashanti School, I knew what I had been missing. Tears ran down my eyes when I felt the sincere love and gratitude of the little children who live in the school. I had experienced the real India for the first time."

Sara and Allen Smith and Pradeep
"Before we went to India our support for Prashanti School and for Pradeep was abstract--not unlike other charities to which we contribute. Meeting him and seeing the school have made a world of difference. Being there, we saw what an impact our gifts make on the lives of the children. Meeting Predeep, though, has made an impact on our lives...he has become a real member of our family."
