WFF SPONSORS AND FRIENDS
Several sponsors and friends of WFF have had an opportunity to visit the children over the years. The World Family Foundation recognizes this as a wonderful experience for both sponsor and child. Any sponsor or donor planning such a visit must contact the Foundation for prior approval. |
“We are pleased to meet the children here and see their bright eyes and smiles. It has been our special blessing to have sponsored many children here over the past twenty years and see them graduate and find good jobs and better lives. This school provides
a unique opportunity for the underpriviledged to achieve success that they would not otherwise be able to do. Congratulations on the success of your school and congratulations to all these special children.
With kind regards, Michael and Joan " November, 2017

"I am feeling so blessed to be here at Prashanti School in Puri with Elizabeth and all the lovely and beautiful souls of these young children. Their happiness and joy is contagious! They are so open and thirsty for learning and for meeting and interacting with their guests. They are given a good balance of structure and discipline, coupled with freedom to be their joyous selves, a time for play as well as for bhajans and the arts, including yoga!!!!!!!!!! I’m sitting here in the shade of the green foliage, watching the young students playing in their Thursday white uniforms, replete with golden yellow ties and red sweaters.
I have met each and every fatherless child in the school hostel yesterday. There is one set of twins and many sibling groups. Each child is so special and ALL are endearing! I had to restrain myself from hugging them all!!!!!!!! They are so respectful, polite and eager to talk to this strange lady from America. I visited the classrooms and witnessed the dedication of the teachers and their perseverance to correct the children at all times, their character as well as their academics. The teachers are all striving to encourage these kids to do good and be good, in spite of their difficult backgrounds before coming to Prashanti School. They are recognizing the gifts each one of these destitute kids has brought into this world.
I feel so fortunate and grateful for the chance to be here. Come and see for yourselves!!!! Namaste, Toni" 2016 & 2017

"We had a wonderful trip to visit our WFF sponsored child at Prashanti School in Puri, India. It's really difficult to describe a perfect trip. You think that your heart is open, and then you experience all the love from these wonderful children and you realize what love really is. Each day was packed with new adventures.... That evening we met every single child in the orphanage. Elizabeth was encouraging them to study hard for their upcoming finals. We could learn something from her about our own children here in the west. The television had a big padlock on it until after the finals. They had three weeks of hard study in front of them with their tutors. When we asked each child what was their favorite thing about their school, most said they liked the discipline.
These children realize that they are being given a chance to have a decent and rewarding life ahead of them. They will be able to get jobs to support themselves. The children in the new English medium school, Prashanti International School, are being taught their local state language, Hindi, and English. Those little ones were so cute.
Sitting in front of us, each one told us a nursery rhyme in English. If a child has good communication skills in these languages, he has a much better chance at continuing his education on a higher level. Even the ones who can't go on to higher learning can go back to their villages and be tutors. With love, Patricia and Jerry" January 2014

"We as a family feel very lucky to have had an opportunity to visit Prashanti International School. It was a great experience for our son and daughter because they don’t have similar experiences in USA. We could clearly see that all the kids were so happy to see us and they tried their best to make our visit a memorable one… we had a fantastic time… every one of those kids was precious for us…I realize that the best way somebody can understand these kids’ daily life is by visiting them. The entire trip to Prashanti School was so divine that it is difficult for me to express. I am sure my son and daughter will never forget the experience they had at Prashanti School. Thanks, Saroj and Gayatri” July 2014
"It is truly a wonderful gift of spirit to be able to unconditionally support and share life’s journey with others who are too far away to ever visit. Somehow the unconditionalness of it makes it sacred. And because of that it remains a lasting treasure throughout life, regardless of the inevitable ups and downs that these children will have to experience as they make their way forward through life.
Sponsoring these children gives them, not only material support, but it gives them a greater sense of their own personal value, and this is regularly reaffirmed to them by the caring that flows to them through your letters and interest. And with this stronger sense of self these children in time move beyond the support of WFF and on into their adult lives where they will carry on the tradition of making the world a better place by caring for the needs of others which they first learned from you. You will never receive a greater gift than that!

"What an amazing school! The children are so bright and learning so much. It's hard to believe that they come from such destitute and illiterate backgrounds. It was a joy to meet them. The older ones asked me interesting questions in English!" Eve, Film Editor 2012
'Rick and I are so impressed with what is being accomplished here. The support we all provide as sponsors through World Family Foundation, along with the tremendous instruction, guidance and discipline provided by the staff affords each of these children not just an education but also an opportunity for a better life... We feel privileged and blessed to be a part of the WFF family and what it is being achieved at Prashanti and PIS in Puri.

“I had the great pleasure of becoming a sponsor of two beautiful little girls at the Prashanti School over 10 years ago. It has been a very rewarding and enriching experience to watch these precious Girls blossom and grow into confident young people looking forward to their future, One of them is now attending College and would like to be a Teacher. I went to visit the School and was in awe at the level of dedication and commitment from the Teachers and Staff. All the children looked so peaceful, content, loving and happy, It has been one of the highlights of my life to have the opportunity to visit Prashanti School. Peace and Love, Nula" 2009
